Pack Nine News - The Official Newsletter of Nevada Men's Golf

Nevada Men’s Golf Supporters,

We are exactly three weeks away from our first day of practice, and we are excited to share our fall tournament schedule! Our travels take us coast to coast, highlighted by major championship venue Erin Hills and trip across the Pacific Ocean to finish things off in Hawaii. We will pass along live scoring information closer to each event.

Four Players Named All-America Scholars

Wolf Pack Pro-Am

We have secured a highly-coveted Monday at Montrêux Golf & Country Club this fall to launch our inaugural event. We intend for this to become our flagship fundraising outing each year and appreciate your support as we kick things off in year one!

Each 4-Player team will be paired with “Pros” that will consist of current and former players and coaches from Nevada Men’s Golf. Pros will be drafted in the order of team registrations.

Hall of Famers Kirk Triplett, Michael Allen, and David Nelson are committed to return for the event!

Friday Night Lights

We are also bringing back our popular night golf event at Wildcreek’s newly renovated par 3 course! The course construction is complete and will reopen prior to Labor Day as part of the First Tee’s project.

This is event is family friendly and fun for all ages! You are welcome to bring friends and family along just to enjoy the action. Lety’s Tacos will be available for the evening.

Golf offers the ability for connection unlike other sports. We are committed to offering two events each semester where our players have the chance to interact and play alongside our supporters and people in our community. These relationships strengthen our program and are beneficial for both our team and those who participate.

We look forward to seeing you at an event soon.

Pack Nine Tour Fall 2025

We’ve got two stops this fall on the Pack Nine Tour this fall. Both the Wolf Pack Pro-Am and Friday Night Lights create opportunities to play alongside our current players and take home some team-issue gear!

Proceeds from all Pack Nine Tour outings go directly to our men’s golf program. We utilize these funds to take an extra trip during the winter months, travel individual players to tournaments to provide experience, and invest in technologies such as Trackman, etc.

With the new rules following the NCAA v House settlement, we are also no longer limited by 4.5 scholarships as we have been in men’s golf previously. We are looking to push that number closer to 6 in coming years in order to attract and retain players and keep a competitive advantage - it will not be going to NIL or revenue share.
