Pack Nine News - The Official Newsletter of Nevada Men's Golf

Nevada Men’s Golf Supporters,
We are only two weeks away from the first day of practice this fall!
Ben Ortwein picked up another win for the Wolf Pack this summer, while Aaron Leach made his second ace in as many tournaments this week! Liam Gobin also had a nice showing at the Nevada State Am last week with an 8th place finish.

Wolf Pack Pro-Am
Spots are filling up for our inaugural Wolf Pack Pro-Am at Montrêux Golf & Country Club, and we intend for this to become our flagship fundraising outing each year. Proceeds from this event will go specifically to supplement scholarships for the team (not NIL or revenue share.) We appreciate your support as we kick things off in year one!
Each 4-Player team will be paired with “Pros” that will consist of current and former players and coaches from Nevada Men’s Golf. Pros will be drafted in the order of team registrations!

This is event is family friendly and fun for all ages! You are welcome to bring friends and family along just to enjoy the action. Lety’s Tacos will be available for the evening for players and spectators.

Golf offers the ability for connection unlike other sports. We are committed to offering two events each semester where our players have the chance to interact and play alongside our supporters and people in our community. These relationships strengthen our program and are beneficial for both our team and those who participate.
We look forward to seeing you at an event soon. You can respond directly to this email or call me on my cell below if you’d like to join us this fall.

Pack Nine Tour Fall 2025
We’ve got two stops this fall on the Pack Nine Tour this fall. Both the Wolf Pack Pro-Am and Friday Night Lights create opportunities to play alongside our current players and take home some team-issue gear!
Proceeds from all Pack Nine Tour outings go directly to our men’s golf program. We utilize these funds to take an extra trip during the winter months, travel individual players to tournaments to provide experience, and invest in technologies such as Trackman, etc.
With the new rules following the NCAA v House settlement, we are also no longer limited by 4.5 scholarships as we have been in men’s golf previously. We are looking to push that number closer to 6 in coming years in order to attract and retain players and keep a competitive advantage - it will not be going to NIL or revenue share.
