Nevada Men’s Golf Supporters,

The Wolf Pack struggled in our season opener at Washington State last week. We did not compete with the confidence and conviction needed to perform at the level we are capable. Upon returning to campus, we identified areas of preparation that we will improve this fall, and reiterated the importance of self-confidence and trusting the work when it’s time to compete. Practice and preparation have seen increased focus and difficulty as we prepare to head to Aldarra this weekend.

Sophomore Jonathan Kim led the team this week with a 54-hole total of 202 (-11) to finish t-5th. He earned an exemption into next week’s lineup via a top 10% finish in the 90-player field at Palouse Ridge.

On Sunday, we took the guys out to Edgewood to have a fun match between apartments for a weekend reset before upcoming Q-School this week. Liam Gobin, Oak Seelanagae, Aaron Leach, and Jonathan Kim took home “mulligans” for their victory!

The Week Ahead

Q-School this week will consist of 2 rounds at Lahontan and Montrêux with 2 exemptions up for grabs. 1 spot will be a coach’s pick and any of the remaining 5 spots will be determined via a player-only vote. The lineup will be set on Friday morning before we hit the road to Seattle on Saturday.

Pack Nine Tour Schedule

We have 3 chances remaining this fall to come out and play with the team at Pack Nine Tour stops. Each participant will play 9-holes alongside one of our players and take home their choice of tee gift. We are also bringing back “Friday Night Lights” where the women’s team will be joining as well!
