Thank you for following along and for all the messages following our victory in Fresno this week! For those who missed it, we overcame a 3-shot deficit entering the final round and won by 7 shots. Freshman Riki Matsumoto led the team with a tie for first place making birdie on his final hole. Four players finished T11 or better for the tournament.

We’ve talked a lot about strategy over the course of the season, and it paid off this week. We led the field in par 5 scoring, made the most pars, the least bogeys and doubles+, and still won despite finishing T9 in birdies! We will look to take the same recipe to Stanford in 3 weeks at The Goodwin.

The Pack Nine Tour is back! Come play alongside the Wolf Pack at Washoe on Monday, March 30th. Tee times begin at 1:30pm. Grab a team of 3, and we will pair you with one of our own players.

This year’s golf outing will take place again at Montreux on Monday, September 21st with an early afternoon shotgun and dinner after. Last year we secured 20 teams and raised $110,000 for our program. This event is crucial for us to raise additional scholarship funds under the new landscape of college athletics - we do not use it for revenue share or NIL. Our goal this year is 25+ teams and $125,000+!

If you played in last year’s event, please invite a friend or two who missed out to join us this time around! We want to bring back as many former players as we can so call up an old teammate! If you have ideas on how to make this event even bigger and better, please reach out and share them directly with me! We are excited to have our team out amongst the groups again for a great day of FUNdraising.
